Product Description
The AP3216C is an integrated ALS & PS module that includes a digital ambient light sensor [ALS], a proximity sensor [PS], and an infrared LED package. The device features a multi-gain function with a linear response of 365/1460/5840/23360 dynamic range, ideal for applications with clear glass or dark glass. The proximity function is designed for near-field applications where external objects are detected through a simple configurable area controlled by registers. There are multiple? proximity gain controls, the device has multiple infrared LED current controls and a 10-bit ADC output, specifically designed to fix low reflective objects such as dark hair. The device supports interrupts for increased system efficiency and has features to help minimize false triggering. With internal calibration and CMOS design, the AP3216C is designed to minimize device-to-device variations, simplifying manufacturing.
