| Characteristics As an early voltage comparator chip, ZN404 has stable and reliable operating performance. Its key features include a wide supply voltage range (±5V to ±15V), which allows it to adapt to a wide range of power supply environments, especially for industrial and test equipment that requires higher voltage operation. The chip's input voltage range is close to the power rail, improving the dynamic range of the input signal, thereby enhancing its suitability for precision comparison applications. In addition, the ZN404 adopts a push-pull output structure to provide strong driving capabilities, and the output can be directly connected to TTL or CMOS logic circuits for easy integration with digital systems. With a response time of approximately 1.5μs, it was one of the fastest comparators for its time, making it suitable for medium to high-speed comparison applications, such as waveform shaping, level detection, and threshold control.
